Don’t get stuck in a rut with a safe make-up routine and discover looks that make redhead celebrities own that red carpet moment!

Get Your Skin Tone Right

Do make sure you’ve selected the right foundation and only concealed what’s necessary like dark circles.

Don’t hide your freckles, opt for sheer foundation or a tinted moisturizer and neutralize any redness in your skin so it doesn’t clash with your red hair.

Your Perfect Blusher

Do opt for peachy blusher. Any redhead, cool types like Christina Hendricks or Emma Stone or warm types like Isla Fisher pull off peachy hues very well. Beware of a pink blusher as a redhead, it’s a trickier colour to pull off for you, making you look a bit ruddy.

Don’t wear bronzer. The bronzer doesn’t bring out the beautiful contrast between your hair and your skin.

Get Adventurous With Eye Make-up

Do try out colours! Navy blue kohl pencils, soft browns and bronzes, green and purple eyeshadows. Beware of cool-toned eye shadows and pair them up with warm blusher or lip colour.

Don’t overdo it with black eyeliner or kohl pencil. It looks quite harsh on redhead beauties.

Do finish your look with few coats of black mascara.

Don’t forget to fill in your eyebrows with a suitable shade of brown.

Choose The Best Lip Colour

Do play up your lips with colour. Warm peach, soft or berry pink, lipgloss is your best friend. Don’t match your red lipstick to your hair tone too much. For darker auburn hair, a bright, bold red is an instant winner.

Don’t make fuchsias or hot pink your lip colour choice, there are harder to pull-off for redheads. You can however mix the cool colours with a hint of red to make it work for you.
