Mariah Carey launches nail varnishes
The US singer Mariah Carey is collaborating with OPI to create a new range of Liquid Sand formula nail varnishes for the brand.
OPI Executive VP Suzi Weiss-Fischmann said: "OPI is extremely excited to work with Mariah. She's very passionate about beauty and her nails in particular. Her music served as a wonderful inspiration for glamorous, sultry, vibrant colors. To pay homage to her iconic status, we wanted to launch her collection with something completely new and exciting."
Maria, 42, has hand-selected eight OPI Liquid Sand lacquers for her range, including ones called 'Stay the Night', 'Pink Yet Lavender', 'Anti-bleak' and 'A Butterfly Moment'.
The varnishes dry to a textured, 'pebbled' finish which leaves the wearer with a little sparkle.
Maria is no stranger to splash out on beauty treatments. She recently paid $1,500 for an eight-hour massage at her Los Angeles mansion and during the rub insisted on watching Sacha Baron Cohen's 2009 comedy movie 'Bruno' - which lasts 81 minutes and sees the actor portray a flamboyant fashionista - on repeat.
