The 'Glee' actress Lea Michele was shocked when she was asked to be the new face of L'Oreal, because she's not a "typical beauty".
Lea Michele joins a long list of stars endorsing L’Oreal products, including Eva Longoria, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, Cheryl Cole and Penelope Cruz.
She told WWD: "Growing up I was never really considered the typical beauty. So the fact that I'm now the face of such an incredible company and brand is so awesome - that they would look at me and consider me is unbelievable."
The actress also believes one of the reasons she was chosen is because women can relate to her.
Lea, 26, has previously talked about her refusal to alter her natural beauty, saying: "When I was 15 a manager said, 'You have to get a nose job in order for me to work with you.' My mother would say to me, 'Barbara Streisand never got a nose job. You're not getting a nose job.'"
