Jennifer Lawrences Twisted Waves
We’ve got a serious hair-envy, Jennifer Lawrence! Get her fabulous cascades of twisted waves overnight and without any heated tool in sight.
1. Wash your hair with a quality shampoo and conditioner. You may use a curling shampoo to encourage a natural wave or curl in your hair.
2. Towel dry but don’t rub to avoid frizz and let it dry a bit more naturally for few minutes, depending on the hair thickness.
3. When your hair is damp rather than wet, apply either volumising or curling mousse to the hair and comb the product through evenly.
4. With a tail comb, choose your preferred side parting and separate the hair into two sections.
5. Similar to a French plait procedure, start at the top of your head and take 2 equal sections and twist them around each other tightly.
6. Slowly keep adding sections of hair to the same ‘twisted plait’ on that side, always twisting them once around each other and then adding more strands, until they’re twisted all the way to the bottom and secure with a hair band.
7. Repeat on the other side, secure with the hair band and let it dry completely, whilst you sleep.
8. Upon waking up, take out your ‘twisted plaits’ and run the fingers through them gently. Avoid brushing them with a brush as it might create unwanted frizzy effect.
9. Spray with a good holding spray and you’re all set to turn some envious heads yourself!
Tip: For tighter waves, choose smaller sections of hair to twist around each other. Beach-babe, loose waves are achieved with twisting bigger sections of hair.
