Hayden Panettiere causes car crash

The 'Nashville' star Hayden Panettiere caused a car crash in the Tennessee city last month when she hit a car that unexpectedly drove into her lane after she allegedly ran a red light in her BMW.

But according to gossip website TMZ.com, an eye witness told police that the former 'Heroes' beauty would never have crashed if she had not broken the red light.

The official police report states that the blonde actress was driving in the right lane through an intersection when the other driver made a left turn into her lane - instead of into the left lane.

No one was injured in the accident but both cars were towed from the scene.

Hayden, 23, is currently enjoying the success of her new ABC drama based on the country music industry. The Hollywood star also admits she suffered from body dysmorphia in the past after a magazine printed a picture of her in denim shorts under the 'cellulite'.

She said: "It gave me such body dysmorphia for so long. But I remember reminding myself that beauty is an opinion, not a fact. And it has always made me feel better.”
