Covergirl to launch Hunger Games make-up range

Cosmetics brand Covergirl has announced a unique deal with the movie producers, Lionsgate to release a make-up line inspired by the upcoming film 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire'.

Jennifer plays a courageous young heroine Katniss Everdeen and the new make-up range inspired by the movie will be called the Capitol Collection.

It's not yet known what beauty products the line will entail, but in the films, residents of the fictitious Capitol are known for their bright, bold and eccentric-coloured make-up.

As well as creating a line devoted to the fantasy movie, Covergirl provided a range of cosmetics to be used by by the film's expert team of make-up artists on the stars, including Jennifer.

The Capitol Collection will be accompanied by a dramatic TV and print campaign inspired by 'The Hunger Games', which will be "a first-of-its-kind creative advertising campaign", according to Covergirl.

The deal marks the first time the American company has signed on to become a merchandise partner for a movie. Covergirl has previously had a presence on the small screen, however, forging a long-standing partnership with Tyra Banks' modelling reality show, 'America's Next Top Model'.

For the release of last year's hit first movie, 'The Hunger Games', Lionsgate teamed with China Glaze for a nail polish line called Capitol Colours.
